The Main Factors Affecting The Vulcanization Of Rubber Fenders

The main factors affecting the vulcanization of rubber fenders:

(1) Sulfur dosage: The higher the amount, the faster the rate, the higher the degree, the solubility is limited, and the excess sulfur will precipitate from the surface, usually called "sulfur spray". In order to reduce the sulfur injection phenomenon, sulfur must be added at low temperature. Depending on the requirements of the rubber product, the amount of sulfur in soft rubber is usually 3% or less, the amount of semi-rigid rubber is usually about 20%, and the amount of hard rubber can be at least 40%.

(2) Vulcanization temperature: If the temperature is higher than 10 degrees C, the curing time will be reduced by about half. The thermal conductivity of rubber is poor, and the vulcanization process of the product is different due to the temperature difference. In order to ensure a relatively uniform degree of vulcanization, thick rubber products require low temperature vulcanization and long vulcanization.

(3) Vulcanization time: This is an integral part of the vulcanization process. The time is short and the degree is not enough (also called under-sulfur). Too long and high degree of cure (usually oversulfur). Only a suitable degree of vulcanization (often called vulcanization) can guarantee performance.
